Blues to test Hicks with record move for Torro!

Reports are suggesting that Chelsea are about to test Liverpool’s resolve by tabling a firm £50million bid for the sensational Fernando Torres.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is said to be prepared to smash the transfer record fee to bring the Spaniard to Stamford Bridge as he looks to build upon last seasons disappointment of losing both Premier League and Champions League titles to rivals Man Ure.

Reds co-owner Tom Hicks could be tempted to cash-in on the £26million hitman as the deal suggests a sound business move, but surely if he did step-in and off-load Torres for a profit the wrath of the fans would (this time) be simply too much to handle for the Yank.

For the love of God, don’t sell Torres!
