Black Cats looking forward to the big occasion

On the 16th of August, Liverpool will kick-off their 2008/09 campaign away at Sunderland, and the Black Cats chairman Niall Quinn is looking forward to entertaining “one of the greatest clubs in the world”.

He told the clubs official website: “A game like this should be what every Sunderland fans wants year-in, year-out, It’s that time of the summer when the break is almost over and we are getting ready to throw ourselves back into it.

“And straight away we’re entertaining one of the greatest clubs in the world and that’s why we’re here.” he enthused.
