Rafael Benitez strongly hinted that Peter Crouch and John Arne Riise will be allowed to leave Anfield during the summer transfer window.

“They both have one year on their contracts.” said the gaffer on the Offish website.

Benitez looks set to cash-in on the pair who could generate around £13million in much-needed transfer revenue if he off-loaded them now rather than risk losing them on a Bosman next season.

“We know some clubs are asking about them but we need to wait and then do the best for them and for us.” he added.
