Benayoun impressed with Keane

Yossi Benayoun has today spoke of how Robbie Keane made a big impression on the Liverpool squad even when Robbie went 12 Premier League games without scoring.
Keane who transferred from Tottenham in the summer broke his league duck on Saturday against West Brom, scoring 2 goals in the 3-0 home victory.
Benayoun has said the team were confident Robbie would start banging the goals in soon enough.
“It was important for him to score because it is important for every striker to get goals,” said the winger on liverpoolfc.tv.
“We are all very happy for him because we know that he is a very good player and hopefully after scoring against West Brom he will continue to score.
“People at the club, the staff and the players, never doubted Robbie in any way.
“We knew him before he came here and he is a big player who has scored goals throughout his career.”
Yossi added: “Maybe he just needed a bit of confidence and to get used to the players around him so he could get his first league goals.
“But I am sure he will get even more now and will get even better. Even when he wasn’t scoring he was still playing well for the team.
“All that was missing were the goals but now he has got a couple under his belt I am sure it will give him a major boost.”
