Barry tells O’Neill to let him kop a move
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Aston Villa captain Gareth Barry has begged Martin O’Neill to let him join Liverpool. From the paper, his agent said, “Gareth has spoken to Martin since he returned from England’s game in Trinidad and told him how he feels.”
Liverpool have twice had bids rejected but reports state that Villa, (who rejected £10m and 12m) will accept £8m but only if they get Peter Crouch as part of the deal.
His agent later added,”Gareth wants to be playing Champions League football and believes this is his chance to do it.”
