Barry cup tied

Liverpool transfer target Gareth Barry played for his current club Aston Villa in the qualifying round of the UEFA cup Thrusday. This leaves him cup tied in Europe, including the Champion’s League, until February and likely kills Liverpool’s interest in the midfielder.

Barry scored in the 4th minute versus Hafnarfjordur to lead Villa to a 4-1 win.
