Bank on Torres for Saturday

Fernando Torres is a safe bet to net against Reading. He has scored 17 of his 19 league goals at Anfield and scored a hat-trick against Reading in the league cup. If he and Gerrard are on form Liverpool could well find themselves cruising past Reading having seen the pair link up well in recent games.

Liverpool have netted 13 times in their 5 previous meetings and that is an average of 2.6 goals a game. And with Torres having scored 7 goals in his last 3 Anfield apperances including 2 hat-tricks against Boro and West Ham it could be an ideal time to see another hat-trick.

If Dirk Kuyt is picked then there is a real chance he could net. He has 60% of Liverpool’s goals against Reading in the league 3 out of 5 in 3 league games. Whatever happens it will be a good game.
