Babel ruled out of Wigan match

Liverpool will without supersub Ryan Babel for their league game against Wigan.

Babel was forced off the field after he damaged his ankle playing for Holland in their 1-0 win in Norway but Rafael Benitez remains hopeful that the winger will be fit for the Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge.

“I think he will be out this weekend, but hopefully he’ll be training with the team next week,” Benitez told liverpoolfc.tv.
