Ryan Babel could be key to penetrating Chelsea’s defence at the Bridge. Liverpool under Benitez have failed to put a goal in at Stamford Bridge. If Babel fails to start, then as a substitute Babel can have a major impact like he did 4 weeks ago against Arsenal.

The predominantly right-footed winger had a massive impact, winning a penalty and scoring a fourth as Arsenal were sent crashing 4-2. The dutch winger who is likely to make an appearance in Austria and Switzerland is not the only man to watch.

Riise should he start will be one to see as he faces the side he netted an own goal against 8 days prior to the tie and it would be nice to see him score. Gerrard who scored an own goal in the league cup final of 2005 which ironically cancelled out a goal by Riise (40 odd seconds in) and exactly 2 years before the first leg it was Riise who scored the opener in the 2-1 win at Old Trafford in an Fa Cup semi so Riise may be on course for a goal which would be his FIRST at the right end this year.

Torres and Kuyt will also be key as Kuyt has been playing well in Europe and Torres has been alight in his first season. One things for sure that the game wont be boring.
