Another Argentinian linked with Liverpool

Argentinian winger Maxi Rodriguez is being linked with a move to Liverpool. According to The Mirror, the Atletico Madrid’s captain is on the watch list of Rafa Benitez.

It is believed that Rafa is keen to solve the problem on the wings. Jermaine Pennant is inconsistent while Babel isn’t fully ready for the Premier League.

He is commonly used as a winger or midfielder, or even as a forward if needed. Atletico Madrid bought him for around £5.5 million. There weren’t any reports about the estimated price of the winger.

Rodriguez is known for punching German player Bastian Schweinsteiger in the back after Argentina lost the quarter-final game against Germany in 2006.
