Alistair Mackintosh to replace Parry at Liverpool?

Published by fiz on June 4, 2008

The boardroom saga at Liverpool has just taken a new twist. According to The Telegraph, Tom Hicks has approached Manchester City Football Club CEO Alistair Mackintosh about replacing Rick Parry at Liverpool.

Mackintosh is set to leave the club after he couldn’t agree with owner Thaksin over the departure of Sven. And with newly-installed Gary Cook taking over as the new executive chairman, it looks like Mackintosh is definitely leaving.

Tom Hicks has earlier demanded Parry to resign as of immediate effect. However, Parry has the backing of co-owner Gillett and several other boardroom members.
