Aguero heading for Anfield?
July 14, 2008 · By liverpoolrox · Jump to comments
Sergio Aguero could be heading for a move to Anfield, as his agent has recently announced that either Liverpool, Arsenal or Man Utd are lining up a bid for the young superstar.
Benitez is likely to be the one, as he is in the market for a striker and is a known admirer of the Athletic Madrid hitman.
Aguero has proved a huge hit in the La Liga, striking up a great partnership with former Urinal hitman Diego Forlan.
Aguero finished the season with 19 goals, winning the Antonio Puerta award for Best La Liga Player in the process. However, with his goals comes a hefty price tag of £35m.
His agent Jose Segui is quoted in the Spanish press as saying: “I’ve had interest from a leading English team and they’ve asked me to approach Atletico with a bid. I can’t say more until I’ve spoken to the club about the offer.
“All I can tell you is that it’s one of the best teams in Europe and it’s not Chelsea.” he added.
